BIOGRAPHY:
Max Bellocchio, after having lived in the past years as a Playboy in the
surroundings of Railway Station in Naples, he moved from Vesuvio, Italy to
Croisette in Cannes, France in 1996 when he won the prize Hot D'Or for the
movie: "Dr.Max e le donne russe".
Genuine fan of quite overweight women (called "chiattone" in Neapolitan
slang) he shot in Los Angeles "Dr.Max e le Big Girls", "Dr.Max e le Big
American Mamas". He selected very nice and very young girls between 18 and
20 y.o., all being "over 220 lbs." This last characteristic could be judged
as a defect by some people and as a merit by some others.
Don't believe Max Bellocchio is only a "gonzo-all-sex" director. Recently
he directed the movie "Vampiri", in 2 parts, a full length horror feature,
running time over 4 hours, provided with a solid plot. This movie got 2
International prizes: as best movie in 1998 in Berlin, Germany and in
February 1999 in Bruxelles, Belgium.
Max won in Italy the Impulse D'Or prize (consigned by the Italian show-man
Paolo Limiti) for the movie "L'Ultimo Treno" and several Impulse D'Or for
his most famous serial "Dr.Max...
After having lived 9 years in Rimini, Max Bellocchio is returned back to
Napoli.
On next September '99 he shall shoot the movie "Il collezionista" where a
madman, pretending to be a film producer, attracts young wannabe actresses
in his villa and keeps them prisoner in the cellar to improve his private
real girl collection.
A very intriguing movie entitled "Amanti Immorali" is also scheduled to be
shot on this fall.
